Aging and Recovery Workshop

Maybe in early recovery we dealt with hard things like jobs and dating and relationships, and money, our families, and our spiritual life. Later it was new addictions like food and work and people, and still, our spiritual life. But as the years pass, we start to see more money issues, more health issues, work becomes retirement, and then post-retirement, more changes in relationships, our mortality, and grief. And more important than ever, our spiritual life.

In this workshop we’ll look at questions like:

  • How does recovery change as we age?
  • Does aging mean we further from or closer to relapse?
  • What will our recovery look like at 60, 70, 80 or later?

Growing older is a life transition, and people in recovery will have a recovery transition also as they age. Recovery gives us a tool kit for overcoming addiction, but it also gives us a masterful set of tools for aging. Come and see how recovery teaches us to age well
